Want to learn how to compose music for yourself or a small ensemble?
In the Composition Course participants will work with a professional composer to investigate how to use melody, harmony, form, accompaniment, texture, and orchestration to create a composition for small wind ensemble.
Participants will:
Sessions will run weekly on TUESDAYS from 4:00 - 5:00pm beginning the week of July 12.
Prerequisite Knowledge for the course:
Either:
· Be able to read and write treble and bass clefs on the staff. Understand and be able to read and write whole notes, dotted half notes, quarter notes, and their equivalent rests. · Able to write out and play at least one major scale on your instrument.

Or:
· Have at least two years' experience playing in band.
