| Call for Applications - Deadline February 4, 2024 The Saskatchewan Band Association is proud to be hosting the Saskatchewan Jazz Honour Band event on March 22 -24, 2024 in Saskatoon. Supported by the Department of Music at the the University of Saskatchewan; Jazz students from grades 9 - 12 from anywhere in the province are encouraged to apply/audition. If you are a motivated jazz student looking to achieve a new level of jazz excellence - this opportunity is for YOU. Jazz Honour Band participants will be selected from the online audition recordings as part of the application process. See below for detailed information on audition requirements. The Application link is also provided below and should be used once your audio recording is ready to be uploaded. |

3 Simple Steps... 1. Review the AUDITION Requirements
2. Prepare your Recording 3. Complete your Online Application & Upload your recording: HERE | Interested Jazz students from grades 9 - 12 must complete the online application - which includes their recorded audio file submission. No special equipment is required for your recording, using a smartphone is just fine. There is NO cost to apply/audition. Challenge yourself, have fun and submit your application no later than February 4, 2024. Note: While there is NO cost to audition/apply, if you are selected there will be a fee of $75 to paricipate in the Honour Band weekend event. When doing your audition recording DO NOT say your name or identify yourself on the recording. The auditions will be reviewed as "blind" auditions, so your must NOT identify yourself on the recording. If you do, your application will be disqualified. |
